Webinar: Early Findings and Lessons from the Partnerships for Social and Emotional Learning Initiative
In this webinar, hear about early implementation findings from the Partnerships for Social and Emotional Learning Initiative (PSELI), funded by The Wallace Foundation. This study offers important insights from the first two years of the multi-year initiative at a time when interest in SEL is outstripping empirical guidance about how to implement these programs and practices.
The 38 sites in six communities are exploring whether students benefit when urban schools and their afterschool partners work together to improve and align experiences and climate to foster children’s social emotional learning — and what it takes to do this work.

Researchers from RAND share findings and lessons on topics such as executing system-level activities to launch and coordinate SEL work across multiple sites; developing partnerships between schools and out-of-school time (OST) programs and districts and OST intermediary organizations; developing adults’ capacity to promote SEL; and improving climate and delivering SEL instruction to students.
