Webinar on Federal Funding Streams and Strategies to Improve Conditions for Learning
As President of the Council of Chief State School Officers’ Board of Directors, Pennsylvania Secretary of Education Pedro Rivera has focused his presidential platform on improving conditions for learning so that all students have the supports they need to be successful inside the classroom. In conjunction with Secretary Rivera’s platform, CCSSO developed a guide for states on leveraging federal funding to improve conditions for learning: Federal Funding Streams and Strategies to Improve Conditions for Learning: A Resource Guide for States.
In this webinar, you’ll learn more about the federal funding sources that can be tapped to improve conditions for learning so all students can thrive with a focus on physical health, mental health, food security and homelessness. State leaders in Ohio and Massachusetts share first-hand how they are working within and across agencies to support districts and schools to meet the comprehensive needs of their students. Guests include Stephanie Siddens and Anna Miller from the Ohio Department of Education’s Center for Student Supports, Rachelle Engler Bennett from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Office of Student and Family Support, and Tom Corwin from Penn Hill Group and lead author of the guide.
