Erin Hill Freschi serves as a Technical Assistance provider for the national Center to Improve Social & Emotional Learning and School Safety.
Freschi also serves as a Senior Program Manager with WestEd’s Early Childhood Learning and Development content area. Currently, she is the lead staff overseeing a statewide initiative to develop a coach professional development and certification system in California. In addition, Ms. Freschi provides technical assistance and consultation to a variety of programs and states through Regional Education Laboratory West and other WestEd initiatives.
Freschi brings over 25 years of experience in the field of Early Care and Education (ECE) in public, private and non-profit settings including Early Head Start and Head Start. She has led county and state level initiatives focusing on ECE systems development, family, friend and neighbor care, special education, early childhood mental health, school readiness and transition to kindergarten, and ECE professional development. She holds a Master’s degree in education and has taught ECE related courses at multiple colleges and universities. In 2005, she was a Children’s Defense Fund Emerging Leader Fellow.
Freschi is a board member with the Tourette Association of America and provides consultation to school districts and families of children diagnosed with Tourette and other special needs in California and Hawaii.
