Shaun Ali serves as a Technical Assistance provider for the national Center to Improve Social & Emotional Learning and School Safety.
Ali is also a Senior Justice Technical Assistance Specialist with WestEd’s Justice and Prevention Research Center (JPRC). In this role, he provides technical assistance for the National Reentry Resource Center funded by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). His areas of expertise include technical assistance, capacity building, strategic planning, and project management.
Previously, Ali has worked on a variety of criminal justice reform projects at the federal, state, and local levels, particularly around youth violence and delinquency prevention for the DOJ Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). He was also an integral part of a large-scale transformation effort for justice agencies in one of the largest counties in the country and served as technical assistance coordinator for the U.S. DOJ Bureau of Justice Assistance.
Ali received his BS from George Mason University and an MA in Sociology from Arizona State University.
